Heavy Industrial Electrical Construction Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator with 5+ years of industrial electrical construction estimating experience, supporting projects in refineries, pipeline facilities, compressor stations, and other heavy industrial environments. The ideal candidate has strong estimating fundamentals, experience using industry-standard estimating software, and a solid understanding of complex industrial electrical systems and labor considerations. This position works closely with senior estimators, project managers, and operations teams and offers long-term growth toward lead estimating responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed electrical estimates for industrial projects, including refineries, pipelines, and compressor stations Perform comprehensive material and labor takeoffs using estimating software and digital drawings Review and analyze construction drawings, specifications, one-lines, and P&IDs Solicit, evaluate, and level vendor and subcontractor pricing Assist with bid strategy, risk evaluation, and scope reviews Participate in pre-bid meetings, site walks, and scope clarification discussions Assist with estimate handoff to project management and support change order pricing as needed Required Qualifications 5+ years of electrical estimating experience in industrial construction Experience estimating projects in one or more of the following environments: o Refineries o Pipeline facilities o Compressor stations o Heavy industrial or energy infrastructure Proficiency with electrical estimating software (e.g., Accubid, Trimble, ConEst, McCormick, or similar) Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, including: o Medium and low voltage power distribution o Motor control centers (MCCs), VFDs, and drives o Conduit systems, cable tray, and industrial wiring methods o Grounding, bonding, and hazardous area installations Ability to interpret: o Electrical drawings and specifications o One-line diagrams and P&IDs Strong skills in Microsoft Excel High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization Clear written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications Background working for an industrial electrical contractor Field experience in industrial electrical construction Experience with brownfield and greenfield projects Familiarity with shutdowns, turnarounds, or outage work Experience with Bluebeam or similar plan-review tools
