$84,970 - $110,000 Position Overview A globally recognized luxury timepiece manufacturer is seeking a Junior Technical Instructor to join its Educational Programs team in Long Island City. This individual will play a key role in developing, supporting, and inspiring watchmaking professionals through technical instruction, curriculum delivery, mentorship, and hands-on training. The ideal candidate is a technically skilled training professional with strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal abilities who is passionate about watchmaking, education, and helping technicians succeed in their careers. This position will support internal employees and external retail partners through classroom instruction, bench testing, curriculum development, and special educational initiatives. Occasional travel within the United States may be required. Key Responsibilities Deliver technical training programs to employees and retail service technicians Conduct bench tests and provide hands-on technical instruction and coaching Assist in the development and maintenance of watchmaking curriculum, lesson plans, and training materials Ensure training content and instructional standards remain consistent across multiple locations Foster engaging, professional, and inclusive learning environments Assess learner progress and communicate performance updates to management and Human Resources Ensure lessons align with curriculum objectives, development plans, and company standards Support educational initiatives, process improvements, and special projects within the training department Utilize modern instructional methods and training techniques to enhance learning outcomes Promote professionalism, technical excellence, and company culture throughout all training activities Maintain the integrity of curriculum, assessments, and educational standards Desired Outcomes The Junior Technical Instructor will contribute to the success of the educational department by ensuring: Employees and retail technicians receive the technical knowledge, skills, and support necessary to succeed Training programs are clear, engaging, and aligned with organizational standards Learner progress is effectively monitored, documented, and communicated Learning environments remain professional, respectful, and supportive Educational content evolves with industry standards, technical advancements, and learner needs Training programs maintain consistency, quality, and instructional integrity across all locations Qualifications & Skills 3+ years of experience delivering technical training or related instructional experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Strong organizational and logistical coordination skills Ability to quickly learn, retain, and communicate technical information effectively Experience working with assessments, SOPs, and technical instructional environments preferred Knowledge of micromechanics and technical systems preferred Familiarity with OSHA standards and workplace safety procedures preferred Physical Requirements Frequently required to stand, write, and perform computer-based work Occasionally required to sit, walk, bend, and lift/carry up to 20 pounds Requires close vision and frequent reading of technical materials Low-noise professional workshop and training environment Standard 40-hour work week with occasional travel within the United States Equal Opportunity Employer The company is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and respectful workplace.
