Position Overview:

St. Bernadette School is seeking a K-8 Music Teacher to join our elementary school team. The ideal candidate should possess a degree in education or a liberal arts degree and a passion for Catholic education. He or she will demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching elementary-aged children and a deep sense of purpose in shaping their hearts and minds in partnership with families.

Requirements:

• Deliver curriculum lessons and lead school choir
• Instruct and instill the habits of mind necessary for academic success
• Model and encourage student growth in Catholic virtues
• Aim to deliver lessons in an engaging and joyful manner
• Collaborate with colleagues to encourage student learning and character formation
• Build rapport and communicate effectively with families to provide feedback on student progress

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a bachelor's degree in a music or liberal arts program
• Certification in Elementary Education
• Commitment to refining the craft of teaching
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents
• The ability to model a love of learning and a love of Christ
