Tekonsha is conveniently located alongside I-94 and midway between Detroit and Chicago. You can take a quick 30-minute drive to Battle Creek where you can enjoy the zoo, Leila Arboretum, Kingman Museum, and even a casino! Here in Tekonsha, we are a small community with the great outdoors at our fingertips! From boating to hiking, fishing to hunting, there are so many outdoor activities to enjoy! Practice Overview Tekonsha Animal Hospital is currently a two doctor, rural practice that provides high quality medicine with cutting edge technology. We believe in educating our clients while providing top-notch customer service in a fear-free environment. Our practice fosters an environment based on collaboration and team work. We enjoy jokes, laughter, and helping one another to the finish line! What You'll Be Working On Create daily activity sheets for each boarding pet Ensure boarding pets are fed, walked and administered medications or treatments Maintain a clean hospital and kennel area, ensuring the comfort of all pets Support staff as needed with clean-up post-surgery, exam or vaccinations Additional responsibilities as assigned Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent preferred At least one-year experience in an animal handling or customer service role in a veterinary practice preferred Proficient with computer programs like Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity Strong verbal and written communication skills Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectives Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail Strong interpersonal skills with a warm, positive demeanor What's In It For You Simple IRA with match eligibility Health Insurance allowance Paid Time Off eligibility
