Kennel Attendant

Overview We're seeking a caring and reliable Kennel Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a true passion for animals and a strong commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for every pet in our care. This hands-on role involves daily pet care, facility maintenance, and supporting overall operations to ensure a positive experience for both pets and their families. Responsibilities Provide daily care such as feeding, exercise, and basic grooming Maintain clean, sanitary kennels and common areas at all times Assist with safe animal handling during grooming sessions or vet visits Monitor pets' health and behavior, reporting concerns promptly Offer excellent customer service and support to pet owners Reinforce training and commands during structured activities Safely lift and move supplies or equipment when needed Assist with pet sitting duties, ensuring pets receive attention and affection Collaborate with the team to create a welcoming, positive environment Qualifications Previous animal care or handling experience preferred (but not required) Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to safely lift and carry heavy items Familiarity with kennel or veterinary procedures a plus Knowledge of dog training methods is an advantage Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to animal well-being Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays Capable of safely and effectively restraining animals when necessary Join our team and help make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and the families who love them!
