We are looking for compassionate, dependable, and energetic Kennel Attendants who love working with animals and thrive in a fast-paced team environment. Position Summary The Kennel Attendant is responsible for the daily care, comfort, and supervision of dogs and cats staying at our pet hotel. This role includes feeding, cleaning, exercising pets, monitoring behavior and health, and maintaining a clean and welcoming facility. This is a part time summer position. 1-3 days a week. Responsibilities Provide attentive daily care for dogs and cats in boarding and daycare Feed pets according to specific instructions and monitor food/water intake Clean and sanitize kennels, play areas, dishes, bedding, and common areas Safely handle pets of various sizes, breeds, temperaments, and activity levels Supervise group play sessions and monitor pet behavior for safety Administer basic medications as instructed (training provided if applicable) Observe pets for signs of illness, stress, or injury and report concerns promptly Maintain accurate records of feeding, medications, behavior, and activities Assist with check-in/check-out procedures and communicate professionally with pet owners Follow all safety, sanitation, and animal handling protocols Support team members with daily operations and special care requests Qualifications Previous experience working with animals preferred, but not required Genuine love for pets and commitment to their wellbeing Ability to remain calm and confident around animals of all sizes Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail Comfortable performing physical tasks including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and cleaning Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively Excellent communication and teamwork skills Flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
