Kennel tech/vet assistant

Job Summary Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Kennel Technician and Veterinary Assistant, where your passion for animal care and veterinary support will make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their owners. Duties Maintain cleanliness and organization of kennels, cages, and treatment areas to promote hygiene and animal well-being Assist with animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, bathing, grooming, and monitoring health status Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques during examinations, treatments, and procedures Support veterinary staff with medication administration, sample collection, and basic laboratory work Aid in animal restraint during diagnostic imaging or procedures to ensure safety for both animals and staff Assist with front desk duties including scheduling appointments, patient check-in/out, and client communication Support veterinary critical care by monitoring hospitalized animals and reporting any changes in condition promptly Requirements Prior kennel experience or animal handling background is highly preferred Knowledge of animal husbandry practices and pet care essentials Experience working in a veterinary clinic or with veterinary technicians is a strong plus Familiarity with veterinary terminology, medication protocols, and aseptic techniques Ability to handle various animals confidently, including dogs, cats, and equines when applicable Strong understanding of animal anatomy, physiology, and restraint methods Experience with laboratory procedures or veterinary critical care enhances your candidacy Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients Join us if you're passionate about animal welfare, eager to learn from experienced professionals, and ready to contribute to a compassionate veterinary environment.
