Kennel Worker 4760 East State Road 120, Fremont, IN 46737 From $13 an hour - Part-time From $13 an hour - Part-time Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care for animals in our kennel facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal welfare and the ability to handle various breeds and sizes of dogs. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills. Duties Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising. Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas to ensure a safe and sanitary environment. Assist with animal restraint during veterinary procedures or grooming sessions. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to the supervisor. Support dog training sessions as needed, reinforcing positive behaviors. Engage with pet owners, providing updates on their pets' well-being and addressing any questions or concerns. Perform heavy lifting tasks as required, including moving supplies and equipment. Assist in pet sitting services when necessary, ensuring pets receive individualized attention. Qualifications Previous experience in animal handling or care is preferred but not required. Knowledge of animal restraint techniques and basic veterinary care is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) and be on your feet for extended periods. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners. Experience in dog training or pet sitting is advantageous. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being is essential. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
