FULL CHURCH PROFILE
here: frootgroup.com/southwestkids Southwest Church is a non-denominational congregation located in Springboro, Ohio, with loose ties to the Restoration Movement and a deep commitment to Scripture as the trustworthy Word of God. Founded in October 1997 by Senior Minister Roger Hendricks with just seven core families, Southwest began in a living room and grew steadily over the years, eventually building its own facility in 2012 and adding a kids wing in 2017. Today the church averages approximately 300 in weekly attendance across two Sunday morning services. Their purpose is to love God, love people, serve the community, and share Jesus. Their mission is following Jesus and making disciples, and their vision is a church where lives are changed, families are strengthened, and purpose is found in Him. On any given Sunday, the people of Southwest sing modern worship, sit under dynamic biblical teaching, and experience the kind of warm, relational community that has defined this church from the beginning. What comes through most clearly at Southwest is that the culture of belonging is genuine. Volunteers talked about feeling welcomed from day one. Families with no church background found it approachable and kept coming back. The church takes communion every Sunday, runs small groups with a childcare stipend so young families can actually participate, and has built the kind of relational environment where people do not just attend, they stay and invest. The mission of following Jesus and making disciples is not a statement on a wall here. It shows up in how the congregation treats one another. The church is seeking the right candidate to take over as the new Kids Minister to oversee their kids ministry. The right candidate will have a deep personal life in Christ and the character and capacity that align with the church s overall mission and vision. Below are the qualifications and responsibilities Froot Group and the church have identified for this role:
