Job Description

Divine Meats Inc. / Divine Foods is seeking a strong, dependable, and hands on Kill Floor Supervisor to oversee daily slaughter floor operations in a fast paced USDA inspected halal processing facility. This role is responsible for supervising slaughter operations, ensuring humane handling, maintaining production flow, enforcing cleanliness and food safety standards, and ensuring compliance with USDA and halal requirements. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can manage people, maintain organization under pressure, and ensure the facility operates safely, efficiently, and professionally. Responsibilities Supervise daily kill floor operations and slaughter team members Oversee humane livestock handling and slaughter procedures Ensure halal hand slaughter standards are followed at all times Monitor production flow, staffing, and efficiency throughout the shift Ensure USDA, food safety, sanitation, and facility cleanliness standards are maintained Verify proper documentation, lot tracking, and operational records are completed accurately Train, coach, and hold employees accountable for performance and procedures Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Monitor equipment and immediately report operational or maintenance issues Ensure employees follow company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and workplace expectations Assist management with scheduling, workflow coordination, and daily operational priorities Handle shift issues, employee concerns, and production challenges as they arise Work closely with slaughterhouse management to improve productivity and operational consistency Any additional responsibilities assigned by management Qualifications Previous slaughterhouse, meat processing, livestock, or food production supervisory experience preferred Strong leadership and team management skills Ability to work in cold, wet, and physically demanding environments Understanding of USDA food safety and sanitation standards preferred Knowledge of halal slaughter practices preferred Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods Strong communication, organization, and problem solving skills Reliable transportation and dependable attendance required Work Environment This is a hands on management role in a slaughterhouse environment. Work includes standing for extended periods, exposure to cold temperatures, livestock handling, wet environments, and physically demanding tasks. Compensation Competitive pay based on experience.
