Our Lady of Mount Carmel School (OLMC) and Lumen Gentium Academy (LGA) in Boonton, NJ, provide a classical liberal-arts PreK-12 education rooted in the Church's intellectual and spiritual tradition. Position Overview Our rapidly growing schools are seeking a dedicated and faithful K-2nd grade teacher to join our team for the 2026-27 academic year. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of elementary education, an appreciation for the classical liberal arts tradition, and a commitment to forming students in both intellect and character in accordance with the Catholic faith. Responsibilities Instruct students in literature, language arts, history, science, and mathematics using a classical approach and rich content Guide students in moral and intellectual formation through the lens of the Catholic faith Create a classroom environment marked by order, attentiveness, and wonder Foster habits of inquiry, clarity, and depth in student learning Collaborate with colleagues to uphold a cohesive and mission-aligned curriculum Communicate regularly with parents in support of student growth Participate in school liturgies, events, and professional development Preferred Qualifications Candidates must bring a love for their subject matter, dedication to their students, a commitment to academic excellence, and devotion to God and to the classroom. Strong candidates will have an entrepreneurial spirit, an enthusiasm for working in a close tutorial relationship with students, and eagerness to build an enduring institution of inestimable worth.
