Job Description Job Description Experienced Kitchen Designer Maple Walnut Woodworks, Inc. - Buffalo, NY Maple Walnut Woodworks About Us Maple Walnut Woodworks is a high-end custom cabinetry and millwork company specializing in luxury kitchens, integrated interiors, and sophisticated design-build projects. We provide in-house design, manufacturing, and installation services for discerning residential clients throughout Western New York. We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Designer who understands both exceptional design and real-world construction. This is a client-facing role for someone who can confidently lead projects from initial concept through production drawings while collaborating closely with our fabrication and installation teams. Position Overview The ideal candidate has strong kitchen and cabinetry design experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to balance aesthetics, functionality, and technical accuracy. This is not an entry-level drafting role. We are looking for a designer who can independently manage projects, guide clients through selections and layouts, and contribute to the elevated level of work our company is known for. Responsibilities Meet with clients to understand project goals, lifestyle needs, and design preferences Develop kitchen layouts, cabinetry concepts, and interior millwork solutions Prepare presentation drawings, renderings, and production-ready shop drawings Coordinate finishes, materials, hardware, appliances, and lighting considerations Work closely with our fabrication and installation teams to ensure technical accuracy and buildability Conduct site measurements and verify field conditions Manage revisions and maintain clear communication with clients throughout the design process Assist with pricing development and scope coordination Collaborate with architects, interior designers, contractors, and trades when required Maintain organized project documentation and schedules Qualifications Minimum 5 years of kitchen and cabinetry design experience Strong understanding of cabinetry construction and kitchen planning principles Proficiency in SketchUp, Auto

CAD, 2020
