We strive to perfect our craft and attain our goals of providing an authentic food item that is a staple in Japanese cuisine. Using high-end ingredients and powered by a determined drive of constant improvement and innovation, we seek to provide a unique and elegant product that will allow a western audience to enjoy and experience a piece of Japanese culture. After seeing great success in the greater Seattle area, we are looking to expand into California and take the Japanese food market in the Bay Area by storm!About the
Role:
As the kitchen lead, the manager will be tasked with overseeing the production of our onigiri product. Working with both efficiency and purpose is essential to a smooth and timely operation. As the brain and leader of our San Jose kitchen, the manager is essential for ensuring the quality of our product and efficiency of our production process. Managing the tasks and roles of the employees working under you will be pivotal to the success of our growth.Key Responsibilities:
Work with other staff members to ensure the kitchen is set up in a timely manner and ready for productionLead a small team of like-minded individuals while following the production model established by our Washington teamWork with staff to ensure ingredients and other preparations are complete and ready for following day's productionEnsure the kitchen space is clean and tidy following productionAid in the development of new flavor ideas that will help propel the business to even greater heightsRequirements:
Current / up-to-date Food Handler's cardMinimum 2 years experience working in a previous leadership role in a kitchen or food productionAbility to accurately ascertain kitchen needs and convey directives to team membersAble to speak and understand English at a working levelAble to stand and walk for extended periods of timeAble to lift up to 40lbsNice to have:(Beneficial but not required)Willingness to adapt and learn as the company growsPrevious experience working with Japanese cuisineAble to speak and understand Japanese at working levelReporting Relationship:
