Job Description

Kitchen Manager / Chef - Deli & Hot Food Operations We are looking for an experienced Kitchen Manager / Chef to lead daily operations in our busy deli and kitchen inside a high-volume gas station convenience store. This position is responsible for managing food preparation, kitchen staff, food quality, cleanliness, inventory, and ensuring fast, friendly service for customers. Responsibilities Oversee daily kitchen and deli operations Prepare and supervise hot foods, sandwiches, and deli items Manage kitchen staff scheduling and training Maintain food quality, freshness, and presentation Ensure cleanliness and compliance with health and safety regulations Monitor inventory, food ordering, and waste control Keep kitchen running efficiently during busy hours Create specials and help improve menu offerings Help market deli and hot food items to increase customer traffic and sales Maintain strong customer service standards Requirements Previous kitchen management or chef experience required Experience in deli, fast casual, convenience store, or restaurant kitchens preferred Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards Ability to promote menu items and contribute ideas to help grow food sales Reliable, organized, and hardworking Flexible schedule including weekends if needed ServSafe Certification is required What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Full-time position Opportunity for growth Stable and busy work environment Supportive ownership and team atmosphere Location 2997 Cook Road, West Branch, 48661
