Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional administrative support to ensure smooth clinic operations. Your expertise in medical administrative tasks, electronic health record (EHR) systems, and patient service will contribute to delivering high-quality care and efficient clinic management. Duties Greet patients warmly and manage front desk operations, including check-in and check-out procedures Verify insurance coverage or work with patients seeking treatment on a lien Schedule appointments accurately utilizing medical scheduling software and coordinate patient flow effectively Maintain and update electronic health records. Handle phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette, multi-line phone systems, and timely responses Manage medical records filing, data entry, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and health information management Support clinical staff with intake procedures, care plan documentation, and basic clerical tasks such as typing reports and maintaining office supplies Skills Bilingual English and Mandarin Familiarity with personal injury lien patient care processes Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and effective communication abilities Experience in medical office or clinic experience is highly desirable Familiarity with insurance verification procedures and Medicare requirements Competent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), typing (10 key), and data entry accuracy Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards to safeguard patient information Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Join us in making a difference by providing outstanding administrative support that enhances patient experiences.
