Job Title:

Lab TechnicianJob Description The Lab Technician will perform essential laboratory support functions, including media preparation, autoclave operation, and glassware cleaning. This role is crucial in supporting the increasing workload and allows higher-level staff to focus on advanced projects. Responsibilities + Prepare and maintain laboratory media. + Operate and maintain autoclaves. + Clean and organize laboratory glassware. + Assist with basic microbiology tasks such as plating and streaking. + Support ongoing projects by managing routine laboratory tasks efficiently. Essential Skills + Experience in microbiology tasks such as plating and streaking. + Competence in handling and cleaning laboratory glassware. + Proficiency in using MS Word and Excel. + Strong multitasking ability. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Sciences, such as Microbiology or Biology. Work Environment The Lab Technician will work in both laboratory and office settings. Standard work hours are 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break, totaling a 40-hour work week. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukee, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
