We're looking for a Laboratory Technician for one of our clients in the greater Pittsburgh Area. This individual will be responsible for lab activity including mainly quality control testing, calibrations and compliance.Responsibilities:
Work with Plant Managers and Operations staff to run quality control testing on finished lubricant products Assist with the completion of batch sheets as needed. Assist blenders with production batch adjustments. Familiarity with certificates of analysis. Enter test results into computer system and generate certificates of analysis. Test and approve incoming raw materials and certificates of analysis. Maintain collection of retain samples in organized fashion. Maintain SDS's for lab chemicals. Laboratory Skills Able to run lab equipment in safe and efficient manner. Ability to calibrate lab equipment. Attention to detail in reporting test results. Keep neat laboratory notebook and files. Basic wet chemistry skills. Petroleum test equipment skills Ability to discern off-spec material. Quality Assurance Assist in maintenance of ISO or other quality records Responsible for lab quality compliance Prepare for and participate in audits by customers/suppliers/registrars Additional tasks as assigned Education and Experience BS degree in a scientific discipline is preferred, or Associate's degree and related experience (2+ years). Oil industry experience is a plus. Ability to work with various computer systems (internal and customer/supplier systems)Similar remote jobs
