Job DescriptionEurofins Environment Testing Northern California, Air Toxics is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our team!
The Laboratory Technician is responsible for contributing toward meeting the production and quality goals of the laboratory. The Laboratory Technician works under the guidance of the Department Manager and Lead Scientist(s). This is a high through-put production position and the team member is expected to communicate production and technical issues to the leadership in a timely manner.
Technicians will also be responsible for proper disposal of samples and waste in accordance with all applicable procedures.
Conduct initial sample screening and classification as required.
Sample and standard preparation as required.
Perform additional support tasks and duties as assigned by the Laboratory Lead or Supervisor.

Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in EnglishAuthorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Hazardous Material HandlingThe Eurofins Air Toxics laboratory houses chemicals necessary for the analysis of various environmental samples. These chemicals can be harmful if not properly handled. The list includes but is not limited to; cryogenic Dewars of liquid nitrogen, compressed gasses including helium, nitrogen and hydrogen, sharps and liquid solvents such as methylene chloride, acetonitrile and acetone. This position requires the ability to safely handle and transport these bulk chemicals. The employee will be required to read and reference the Chemical Hygiene Plan and Injury and Illness Prevention Program for additional information and instruction.
Position is full-time, Schedule To Be Determined but likely 8:00am - 4:30pm with flexibility to work 2:00pm -10:30pm once trained. Overtime and weekends as needed.
