Landfill Operations Manager The Dalles, OR (Wasco County Landfill) Full-Time | Monday-Friday | On-site $85K-$95K + 20% Bonus (cash + equity) We're looking for a hands-on leader to run day-to-day operations at our Wasco County Landfill. This isn't a desk job. You'll be out on the site, leading from the front, developing your team, and making sure the operation runs safely and efficiently. What You'll Do Lead daily landfill operations, including waste placement, sequencing, and cover Manage crews, schedules, and equipment utilization Drive a strong safety culture and run regular safety meetings Coach and develop operators and frontline employees Coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations Stay hands-on — operate equipment when needed What We're Looking For 5+ years of landfill operations experience preferred Strong working knowledge of working face operations Experience with heavy equipment (operation and maintenance) Proven leader who develops people, not just manages tasks Able to make decisions and solve problems in a fast-moving environment Background in heavy construction may be considered if closely aligned Why Waste Connections Team-first, down-to-earth culture Strong promote-from-within track record Competitive pay with bonus + equity Full benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and more To be considered for any of our current openings you must complete an application at www.wasteconnections.com .
