On-the-job training Growth opportunities General Maintenance Technician job and responsibilities Inspecting properties, equipment, buildings and hot tubs. Performing routine cleaning and sanitizing, painting and upkeep. Completing repairs such as fixing locks, leaky faucets and hot tubs etc. Checking and maintaining safety equipment such as fire alarms, fire extinguishers and carbon monoxide detectors Performing grounds maintenance such as mowing lawns, leaf blowing, filling pot holes, trimming trees and replacing light bulbs/light fixtures etc. Inspecting and troubleshooting problems and issues reported by clients or colleagues Maintaining vehicles, tools and equipment required to perform the role effectively Following a maintenance schedule to ensure that all routine tasks are completed Skills and qualifications Excellent verbal and written communication skills Problem-solving skills Troubleshooting skills Physical strength to lift heavy loads Ability to do basic repairs Interpersonal skills Customer service skills
