Duties Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, and trimming trees to ensure healthy growth and aesthetic appeal. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for planting, weeding, mulching, and general upkeep of outdoor spaces. Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, and adjusting sprinklers to ensure proper watering schedules. Assist with landscape installation projects such as planting shrubs, flowers, and trees; laying hardscape features like patios or walkways; and installing new landscaping elements. Conduct snow plowing operations during winter months to keep pathways clear and accessible. Support tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and removal using appropriate equipment like chainsaws or excavators when necessary. Perform routine maintenance on equipment such as mowers, excavators, and other landscaping machinery to ensure optimal performance. Qualifications Basic mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various landscaping tools and machinery safely. Experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening or horticulture is highly desirable. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, excavators, and irrigation systems is preferred. Knowledge of tree care practices including trimming and pruning techniques. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with physical stamina for manual labor tasks. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards on all job sites. Prior experience in construction or hardscape installation is a plus but not required.
