- Full-time Yard Associate Boise Bark & Stone Star, Idaho Boise Bark & Stone is a locally owned landscape materials supplier serving homeowners, contractors, and landscapers throughout the Treasure Valley.
We are seeking a hardworking, dependable Yard Associate to join our team at our Star location. This position involves assisting customers, loading landscape materials, operating equipment, maintaining the yard, and helping create an organized and professional customer experience. If you enjoy working outdoors, staying active, and working with equipment, we'd like to hear from you. Responsibilities Assist customers with landscape material purchases Load rock, bark, soil, mulch, gravel, sand, and other landscape materials Operate skid steers and other equipment Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard Set up and maintain product displays Receive and organize inventory deliveries Assist with general yard maintenance and cleanup Help customers with product selection and basic product knowledge Preferred Qualifications Landscaping, construction, nursery, or equipment operation experience Skid steer experience is a plus Experience with landscape installation, water features, or hardscape projects is a plus Strong customer service skills Ability to work independently and stay productive throughout the day Requirements Must be able to lift 50+ pounds regularly Must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions including heat, wind, dust, rain, and cold temperatures Must be comfortable working in dusty and windy conditions Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical labor throughout the workday Must be dependable, punctual, and self-motivated Must have reliable transportation Must be available to work Saturdays as needed Schedule Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Occasional Saturday shifts may be required, typically 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM Hours may vary based on seasonal demand and staffing needs This is primarily a seasonal position, with the busiest months running through October Compensation $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, depending on experience What We Offer Active outdoor work with variety every day Opportunity to learn equipment operation and landscape materials Team-oriented work environment Employee discounts on landscape materials If you enjoy working outdoors, helping customers, and being part of a growing local business, we'd love to hear from you.
