Laser Operator/Programmer

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Laser Operator/Programmer to join our manufacturing team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, operating, and maintaining laser cutting equipment to produce high-precision components. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will ensure the efficient production of quality parts. Duties Program laser cutting machines using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to create precise cuts based on detailed blueprints and specifications Operate laser equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring optimal performance and quality standards are met Set up and calibrate laser systems. Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laser systems to minimize downtime and maximize productivity Read and interpret technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication of parts Handle materials safely using forklifts and materials handling equipment; assist with loading/unloading raw materials and finished goods in the warehouse or factory setting Perform quality control checks utilizing precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools to verify dimensions and tolerances Skills Proficiency with Fanuc controls, CNC programming, CAM programming, and blueprint reading Experience operating laser cutting machinery within a manufacturing or factory environment Minimum of 5 years experience Ability to use CAD software such as SolidWorks for design adjustments and tooling setup Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for machine automation control systems Knowledge of GD&T principles for precise measurement and quality assurance Skilled in materials handling using forklifts and warehouse safety procedures Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations, and process adjustments Attention to detail with experience in quality control processes using precision measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows including assembly line operations, packaging, fabrication, tooling setup, welding, and finishing processes Join our team if you're passionate about precision machining and eager to contribute your technical expertise in a collaborative manufacturing environment.
