Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and carrying laundry loads up to 50 pounds. Basic understanding of laundry processes and ability to operate commercial laundry equipment. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience working in a laundry or housekeeping environment. Familiarity with industrial laundry chemicals and safety procedures. Basic knowledge of inventory management for laundry supplies. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills to coordinate with other departments.

Responsibilities:

Sort laundry items according to color, fabric type, and washing requirements to prevent damage and ensure optimal cleaning. Operate commercial washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently following manufacturer guidelines. Inspect laundered items for stains, damage, or wear and report any issues to the supervisor for appropriate action. Fold, organize, and distribute clean laundry to designated departments or storage areas promptly. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the laundry area, including routine cleaning of machines and workspaces. Follow all safety and hygiene protocols, including the proper handling of soiled linens and use of personal protective equipment. Record laundry loads and report any equipment malfunctions or supply shortages to management.
