Laundry Aide/ Laundry Inspector

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Laundry Attendant to join our hospitality team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of guest linens, towels, and clothing, ensuring a high standard of hygiene and appearance. Responsibilities Operate laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and presses to clean linens, towels, and guest clothing according to established standards. Sort laundry items by color, fabric type, and cleaning requirements to prevent damage and ensure optimal results. Perform cleaning tasks including stain removal, folding, ironing, and packaging of laundry items. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is in proper working order. Follow safety procedures related to the handling of chemicals and operating machinery. Assist with special requests such as dry cleaning or delicate fabric care when required. Monitor inventory levels of detergents, cleaning supplies, and linen stock; notify management when supplies need replenishing. Requirements Prior experience in laundry services or hotel housekeeping is preferred. Knowledge of laundry techniques including washing, drying, dry cleaning, and stain removal. Ability to operate laundry machinery safely and efficiently. Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and hygiene standards. Good physical stamina for standing long periods and handling heavy loads. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or holidays as needed.
