Job Overview:
As a Laundry Attendant at Bluefish Vacation Rentals, you'll be an essential part of our Laundry Department, reporting directly to the Laundry Department Manager. Your work plays an important behind-the-scenes role in preparing our homes for each guest arrival. This is a hands-on role focused on linen care, organization, and consistency. You'll help ensure every towel, sheet, and linen item is processed, prepared, and returned to inventory according to Bluefish standards.

While tasks may vary from shift to shift, the goal remains consistent: every item should be clean, well-prepared, organized, and ready to support a seamless guest experience. This role is a great fit for someone who takes pride in their work, values consistency, and enjoys being part of a team that keeps things moving behind the scenes.
Schedule:
A variety of day and evening shifts are available based on operational needs Weekly scheduling is determined by seasonal laundry volume Weekend availability is required during peak season A 30-minute unpaid break is required for shifts longer than 6 hours
Key Responsibilities:
Laundry Operations & Linen Care Sort and process dirty laundry by item type, color, and care needs Inspect linens for stains, damage, and overall quality before and after processing Follow Bluefish laundry standards for washing, drying, folding, and linen handling Fold linens to company standards and prepare them neatly by property Label and organize linen bags accurately for delivery and restocking Inventory & Linen Readiness Track and report damaged or missing linens to support inventory accuracy Prepare replacement sets as needed Help maintain organized linen flow to support guest turnover and daily operational needs Assist with occasional deliveries and restocking of property linen supplies Organization & Workplace Standards Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace, including machines, folding tables, soaking stations, racks, and bins Complete end-of-shift reset tasks, including cleaning lint traps, sanitizing tools, emptying trash, and preparing the space for the next shift Help ensure all storage and staging areas remain orderly and clearly labeled Communication & Team Collaboration Check in daily through company communication channels and participate in team huddles as needed Communicate with the Laundry Department Manager, Linen Operations Coordinator, and fellow team members throughout the day Complete laundry tickets in TRACK in real time Communicate clearly, ask questions when needed, and help maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment Work as part of a team to meet daily production goals and maintain workflow efficiency
What We're Looking For:
Prior laundry, housekeeping, or linen processing experience is helpful, but not required Someone who takes pride in their work and understands that consistency matters Strong attention to detail and the ability to notice when something is off or needs attention Comfortable working in a structured, process-driven environment Reliable, steady, and able to maintain pace during busy periods Comfortable with repetitive physical tasks, including bending, lifting, folding, sorting, and being on your feet throughout a shift Ability to work independently while staying in clear communication with your team Willingness to follow established processes and help maintain Bluefish standards Comfortable using smart devices and apps for communication and task tracking Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license for occasional delivery support Ability to regularly lift 30+ lbs Weekend availability during peak season is strongly preferred
