Laundry Attendant

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all laundry services are performed efficiently and to the highest standards. This role is crucial in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of linens, uniforms, and other items in a hotel or similar setting. The Laundry Attendant will work closely with other staff members to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment to clean and dry various items. Sort, wash, dry, fold, and store linens, towels, uniforms, and other items according to established procedures. Perform dry cleaning tasks as needed, ensuring that all garments are treated with care. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order. Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and report any shortages or maintenance needs. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while handling chemicals and operating machinery. Collaborate with hotel staff to ensure timely delivery of clean items for guest use. Qualifications Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role is preferred but not required. Knowledge of proper laundering techniques for various fabrics including dry cleaning methods is a plus. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational skills with the capability to manage time effectively. Must be able to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods during shifts.
