This position will supervise the laundry facility to ensure the highest efficiency and quality with all products as well as the laundry attendants/custodians who facilitate this process. The laundry lead is also responsible for all chemical orders and tracking inventory to notify the Executive Housekeepers of any linen orders that are needed. This position has a direct impact on our guests experience.

Essential Functions:

Provide exceptional customer service to all internal & external guests. Ability to operate all laundry equipment. Oversee laundry employees ensuring quality of all linens. Create SOP's for operations of laundry room equipment. Understand and enforce all RCGR policies and procedures. Assist in creating/updating a new hire/housekeeper training checklists to ensure each employee has adequate knowledge of machines and chemical usage. Ensure all MSDS information is accurate and updated. Create a bi-weekly schedule for laundry attendants conducive with hotel occupancy. Organize/type monthly load counts & weights - figuring costs per load. Order proper amount of chemicals, ensuring they are fully stocked. Create a cleaning schedule for all areas in laundry ensuring every employee performs the tasks, and signs off on it on a regular and frequent basis. Report any maintenance or employee issues to Executive Housekeeper and maintenance. Ability to perform all laundry attendant duties. Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy. Ability to store and utilize the proper chemicals for the washers Follow directions thoroughly. Understand internal and external guest service needs Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team. Must be punctual. Handle dirty and clean linens. Ensure weight counts are being recorded accurately by all employees. Thorough knowledge and urgency in treating stains as well as Pest Processing. Lead will be the last employee to leave at the end of the day. Performing a full walk-around to ensure gas on ironer is off, machine doors open, proper cleaning has been performed, lights and radio off. Answer questions regarding local area facilities and points of interest Carry out any reasonable request by management that does not place at risk your safety, security or integrity. Know and follow the hotel emergency procedures. Ability to work under frequent time pressure in an interruptive environment with all RCGR departments. Other duties as assigned/needed.
