Job Description

Performs administrative professional work assisting the Code Enforcement Assistant Division Manager in the development and implementation of operational policies and program objectives for the Code Enforcement Division. Work includes managerial tasks and involves supervision, coordination, and direction of subordinate supervisory personnel responsible for the enforcement of minimum housing, land development, lot cleaning, and parking enforcement codes. Work is reviewed by the Code Enforcement Assistant Division Manager through conferences, observations, analysis of reports, and evaluation of results obtained.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field and four (4) years' experience in building inspection, housing inspection, or zoning inspection, two (2) years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid Florida Driver's License required. Parking Enforcement Specialist certification required within six (6) months of hire. Property Maintenance and Housing Inspector certification or equivalent issued by the International Code Council required. Must pass a background check which includes a polygraph. This position requires occasional evening and weekend work for community meetings and special projects. Will require rotating on-call shifts. Must have strong leadership skills, comprehensive knowledge of municipal codes, and a commitment to community engagement.Important:
