Job Description

Field Inspections:
Routinely patrol areas and conduct physical site inspections for property maintenance, blight, overgrown vegetation, and abandoned vehicles.
Complaint Investigation:
Research and investigate reports of code violations submitted by citizens or other government departments.
Enforcement & Citations:
Issue verbal warnings, written notices of violation, stop-work orders, and citations for non-compliance.
Documentation & Reporting:
Photograph evidence, maintain accurate case files, and write detailed reports regarding infractions.
Hearings & Legal Proceedings:
Prepare documentation for legal action and testify in court or before local administrative panels.
Public Education:
Provide guidance and educational materials to property owners and businesses to help them voluntarily comply with local regulations.
