About the Role At Panish | Shea | Ravipudi LLP, we fight for people when it matters most — and we win. Now we're looking for a talented Lien Resolution Specialist to join our team and play a critical role in delivering maximum results for our clients. In this position, you'll manage the full lifecycle of lien resolution - from identifying and tracking liens at the outset of a case, to monitoring and updating them as the case evolves, to negotiating final reductions at settlement. Your work directly impacts how much clients ultimately recover, making this one of the most consequential roles in our practice. This is a high-impact, detail-oriented position that sits at the intersection of law, strategy, and client advocacy. What You'll Do Identify and document all potential liens at the start of each case, including medical, statutory, and contractual claims from insurers, government programs, and providers Track and update lien information throughout the life of the case as treatment continues and balances evolve Communicate proactively with case teams to ensure lien exposure is understood and factored into litigation and settlement strategy Lead negotiation and reduction of liens at the time of settlement, maximizing the client's net recovery Work directly with Medicare, Medicaid, and other government health programs to ensure compliance while protecting client recoveries Challenge and reduce lien amounts from hospitals, insurers, and medical providers - pushing back where amounts are inflated or unfair Apply equitable doctrines like "Made Whole" and "Common Fund" to protect clients' bottom line Handle ERISA and workers' compensation lien issues in complex, multi-party cases Collaborate with trust and estate counsel if applicable on settlements involving minors or clients with special needs Manage detailed disbursement records and ensure accurate, timely distribution of settlement fundsRequirements:
What You Bring 4+ years of experience in lien negotiation, subrogation, or post-settlement work at a personal injury firm Solid understanding of Medicare/Medicaid secondary payer rules and subrogation principles Familiarity with ERISA plan structures and how they affect lien resolution Sharp negotiation skills and a tenacious but professional approach Strong analytical ability and comfort managing complex, multi-party financial calculations Bachelor's degree required; paralegal certification a plus Why Panish | Shea | Ravipudi We're a firm that takes pride in our work, our people, and our results.
