Legal Advocate 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars Northampton County, PA $21.50 an hour - Full-time Turning Point of Lehigh Valley 14 reviews $21.50 an hour - Full-time Position Overview Turning Point of Lehigh Valley is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Legal Advocate to provide trauma-informed support to survivors of domestic violence and intimate partner abuse as they navigate the civil and criminal justice systems. This is a full-time, in-person position focused on court accompaniment, individual advocacy, crisis intervention, and information and referral services. Legal Advocates spend the majority of their time providing direct services and case management to clients at county courthouses, magisterial district courts, Turning Point facilities, and other community locations. Schedule & Location Full-time (40 hours per week) Availability between 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM in alignment with courthouse hours Occasional evening and weekend availability required Work across Lehigh and Northampton Counties Pay Structure $21.50 per hour Key Responsibilities Provide court accompaniment and advocacy for Protection From Abuse filings and hearings Offer trauma-informed, empowerment-based individual advocacy and crisis intervention Assist clients with safety planning, goal setting, and referrals Support Victim's Compensation Assistance and victims' rights programs Maintain timely and accurate documentation Collaborate with internal teams and community partners Participate in Helpline coverage, staff meetings, and case review meetings Assist with additional duties in support of the agency mission Training & Support 45 hours of paid New Advocate Training within the first month 10 hours of annual ongoing training Ongoing supervision and professional development Ideal Candidates Passionate about advocacy and survivor-centered work Experience in social services, legal advocacy, or related fields Comfortable in court settings and crisis situations Team-oriented and trauma-informed Requirements Minimum of three years relevant experience Strong communication skills Microsoft Office proficiency Valid PA driver's license or ability to travel Bilingual candidates encouraged Turning Point of Lehigh Valley is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
