Fort Bend County Parks Dept•Deputy Constable for Fairgrounds Duties will include but are not limited to: Schedule off duty law enforcement officer assignments for events at FBC Parks facilities Coordinate L.E. security for evening events at the Fort Bend County Fairgrounds and Jones Creek Park Assist with Search and Rescue operations Perform routine patrols at all Fort Bend County Parks as a deterrent to crime Answer citizens calls for police assistance at all FBC Parks Provide backup to deputies when needed Conduct initial crime scene investigations Issue citations and /or warnings to violators at their discretion: on view arrest: testifies in court as needed Complete required reports Maintain assigned equipment Participate in activities and duties related to emergency management during disasters as directed
Work Schedule/ Supervision:
The candidate(s) selected will report to their assigned sergeant. This is a budgeted position of the Fort Bend County Parks and Recreation department, but the law enforcement powers and appointment are granted through either the FBCSO or FBC Constables' offices. Schedule is primarily Tuesday•Saturday, 15:00•23:00 but could vary dependent upon unit's needs. Hours and schedule can be discussed and confirmed during interview.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current certified LEO Deputy with at least one (1) year of patrol experience. Not currently under IAD investigation or on any form of disciplinary leave, or probation.
SALARY:
$33.60•42.00
