Bailiff/Graffiti Officer

•City of Espanola employment application is required, available at https://www.espanolanmusa.org/Jobs.aspx •Under the direct supervision of the Municipal Judge and Court Administrator, this position is responsible for monitoring and providing security within the courthouse during open court. The Bailiff assists the Judge, court staff, and defendants during court proceedings while helping to maintain order within the court. This is an unarmed security position but will be required to operate security and metal detecting equipment at the entrance to the courthouse or courtroom. When not performing court/security duties, generally when Court is not in session, this position performs graffiti abatement duties; and may also perform various other duties as designated. Qualifications 1.

Education and Experience:

a. High School Diploma and/or GED b. Two (2) years related experience and/or training c. Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico driver's license and be insurable by City's auto insurance provider 2. Employees may be required to attend and successfully complete training specific to the court such as operation of security and metal detecting equipment and first aid training including adult CPR. Pay:
