Job Description
Monroe Village Court seeks one (1) qualified candidate for a p/t position on our Court Officer staff. The candidate will join our four (4) other existing Court Officers in handling court security during court proceedings and events. Generally, the Court holds six (6) calendars per month (each of which lasts approximately 4-5 hours) as well as additional hearings and trials as needed. Most sessions are staffed by three (3) court officers at a time. Officer work schedules rotate amongst the five total officers and are handled by our senior court officer.. The successful candidate should have prior law enforcement or closely similar experience, a full carry firearm license (HR-218), no prior criminal history, and be able to qualify annually at an approved range. Outside employment is permitted with the Judge's approval so long as it does not create any conflicts of interest or interfere with the Court's scheduled operations. All candidates are subject to a background check.
