Hiring Agency Justice & Public Safety Cabinet | Department of Corrections Location 3111 Spurr RD Lexington, KY 40511 USA Description The Kentucky Department of Corrections (DOC), Division of Adult Institutions operates 13 correctional facilities that house Kentucky's adult inmate population. The mission of DOC is to protect the citizens of the Commonwealth and providing a safe, secure, and humane environment for staff and offenders in carrying out the mandates of the legislative and judicial processes; and, to provide opportunities for offenders to acquire skills that facilitate non-criminal behavior. The Central Kentucky Medical Correctional Complex is hiring an Administrative Specialist. This position provides professional support to the Deputy Warden of Programs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Serves as the administrative liaison for the Deputy Warden of Programs Creates, copies, distributes internal and outgoing correspondence for the Deputy Warden's office Compiles data for monthly reports and process various other documents for the Deputy Warden Handles incoming phone calls to the Deputy Warden Schedules appointments and meetings for Deputy Warden as requested Maintains filing system - both digital and physical Ensures office supplies are ordered in a timely manner Maintains necessary documentation and accreditation documents for auditing inspectors Assists Deputy Warden with other tasks when necessary Minimum RequirementsEDUCATION
Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS
One year of professional, administrative, or business experience. SubstituteEDUCATION
