The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients and employees. Independence House Pecos is a male adult Residential Community Corrections Facility (Halfway House) located in Denver, Colorado. We are looking for a new full-time Security Staff Member. Available shift options as of 6/1/2026 Day shift; Friday through Monday 6:00am- 2:00pm & Tuesdays 2:00pm-10:00pm. Responsibilities are centered on monitoring residents in a community corrections facility. Staff are expected to re-enforce positive behaviors while also enforcing rules and regulations. Applicant duties also include the monitoring of urinalysis tests, room searches, first responder responsibilities, and pat searches on residents. Applicants who are studying or interested in criminal justice or social services in university are preferred. Applicants must be able to understand and apply conflict resolution, de-escalation, and positive reinforcement. Applicants must also have strong writing skills, and communication skills. If you are passionate about making a difference in the field of criminal justice, have good boundaries and enjoy working on a fun team, then we look forward to meeting you. Must have a GED or High School Diploma, be 18 years of age or older, and able to lift 50 lbs. Also required is a valid Driver's License and be able to pass a National Criminal Background check.
