Jailer Duties:

• Answer multi-line phone system including 911
• Receive and transmit on radio channels
• Complete training
• mainly onsite
• Dispatch for Law/Fire/EMS
• Supervise and monitor inmates' activities, ensuring compliance with rules and regulations
• Conduct searches of inmates, cells, and common areas for contraband
• Escort inmates to and from various locations within the facility
• Perform all jail duties: booking, releasing, fingerprinting, distribute medications and cleaning/laundry
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must pass a background check
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to negotiate and deescalate conflicts
• Ability to analyze situations quickly and make sound decisions
• Basic data entry skills for maintaining records
