A $0.75 per hour maximum security stipend if you work full-time at a qualifying facility. A $1.00 per hour restrictive housing stipend if you are assigned a regular post within a restrict housing/segregation unit at any facility. The Department of Corrections currently offers a guaranteed 1% pay increase for every two years of continuous service up to 20 years! Correctional Officers at our facility must uphold and enforce the law as well as facility rules, protect our citizens from harm, maintain security and do so with compassion. The successful candidate will be required to enforce all policies and procedures related to security, and watch over and maintain custody of the offender population. We provide world class training and no experience is required. The successful candidate will be responsible and dependable with a strong sense of right and wrong.

Responsibilities:

Observe and report criminal and suspicious activity to the appropriate person. Enforce rules and regulations. Conduct routine searches for contraband. Monitor, evaluate, and supervise offenders in an assigned area.
