Description of Work The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction is hiring Correctional Officers to maintain safety, security, and supervision within state correctional facilities. This position offers paid training, stable employment, and advancement opportunities within public safety.

Duties Include:

• Maintain safety, custody, and supervision of offenders
• Conduct searches of offenders, visitors, cells, and facility areas for contraband
• Monitor offender activity in person and through surveillance systems
• Maintain offender counts, housing assignments, and required records
• Escort offenders within and outside the facility
• Supervise offender work assignments
