Overview Join our dedicated team as a Corrections Officer and play a vital role in maintaining safety, security, and order within the correctional facility. In this dynamic position, you will oversee incarcerated individual activities, enforce facility rules, and ensure a secure environment for staff, incarcerated individuals, and visitors alike. Your proactive approach and commitment to safety will help foster a respectful and controlled atmosphere while supporting rehabilitation efforts. Responsibilities Monitor incarcerated individual behavior through CCTV surveillance systems to prevent disturbances and ensure safety. Conduct regular patrols of the facility to maintain security, check for hazards, and enforce rules. Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies using conflict management skills and first aid when necessary. Write detailed reports documenting daily activities, incidents, and disciplinary actions with clarity and accuracy. Enforce facility policies by supervising incarcerated individual movements, visits, and activities to uphold order. Assist law enforcement agencies during investigations or when transferring incarcerated individuals securely. Manage conflict situations calmly using conflict management techniques to de-escalate tensions effectively.
