Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Jailer to uphold safety, security, and order within correctional facilities. As a vital member of the team, you will oversee inmate supervision, enforce facility rules, and ensure the well-being of both staff and inmates. Your role is essential in maintaining a secure environment through proactive monitoring, conflict management, and effective communication. Duties Supervise inmate activities within the facility, ensuring compliance with rules and regulations Monitor security systems such as CCTV cameras to observe inmate behavior and detect potential issues Conduct regular inspections of inmate living quarters and common areas for safety and security purposes Respond promptly to emergencies or disturbances using conflict management skills and appropriate protocols Write detailed incident reports, shift logs, and other documentation accurately and thoroughly Assist in escorting inmates during transfers or court appearances while maintaining control and safety Provide first aid or CPR when necessary, following established emergency procedures Qualification Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure Ability to enforce rules firmly yet fairly while maintaining professional integrity Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with inmates, staff, and emergency responders Physical fitness to perform duties that may require standing for long periods or responding swiftly in emergencies Join us in safeguarding our community by ensuring the safety and security of everyone within our facilities. Pay:
$15.50 per hour
