Pittsburg County Detention Center
NOW HIRING
- Detention Officers The Pittsburg County Sheriff's Office is currently accepting applications for: 2 Male Detention Officers 1 Female Detention Officer We are looking for motivated, dependable individuals who are ready to serve their community and work in a fast-paced correctional environment.
Position Duties Include:
Supervising inmates within the detention facility Conducting security checks and inmate counts Maintaining safety and security of the jail Preparing reports and documentation Assisting with booking and release procedures Responding to emergencies and maintaining order
Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years old High school diploma or GED required Must pass background check and drug screening Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts Must possess strong communication and decision-making skills Prior law enforcement or corrections experience preferred, but not required
