Duties include but aren't limited to; booking, classifying, fingerprinting, and supervising arrestee's activities. Detention officers will have the opportunity to promote within the Jail or externally within the Department. Below are some of the minimum standards to apply;

• Applicant must be 18 years of age or older.
• Applicant must possess a High School diploma or GED.
• Applicant may not have any convictions above a Class C Misdemeanor within the last 10 years.
