Control Board Operator The Opportunity:
Under the general guidance and direction of a Sergeant - Corrections, maintains security of the Utah County Jail by constantly observing interior and exterior areas, controlling electronic doors, and monitoring activities of inmates and staff via CCTV, security cameras, intercom, and radio.Starting Pay:
$18.87 to $21.72 Hourly (depending on experience) Full-time and part-time positions availableFull-time Rotating Work Schedule:
7 night shifts: Tuesday-Monday 4 days off 4-day shifts: Saturday-Tuesday 7 days off 3-day shifts: Wednesday-Friday 3 days off Then the schedule repeats.Key Responsibilities:
Monitor inmate and staff activity via CCTV, intercom, and radio Control electronic doors and inmate movement Report emergencies and unusual activity Maintain communication with inmates and staff Log activities and operate security equipmentRequirements:
High school diploma or equivalent 1 year of work experience (or substitute with an associate's degree) Valid driver's license (Utah license required within 60 days) Must pass a drug screen and background checkPreferred Experience:
