01/G/02 ($21.66/hour) to 01/G/04 ($23.44/hour) depending on verified experience for NEW to District Employees Transferring employees or former District employees hired into this role will be placed on the "G" letter grade of the Classified Salary Schedule , but the initial step placement will vary based on a variety of factors.
Classified Salary Schedule Benefits Information:
For positions that qualify, the District offers a benefit package that is valued at more than $10,000 annually. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and Public Employees' Retirement System (PERSI) and are provided to Classified employees who work at least half time (20 hours per week) or more in a regular position and to Certified employees with a .50 FTE or greater contract. JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Assists teachers in removing disruptive students from a classroom, cafeteria, school grounds, or other building area, as required; Assists students with behavior modification, conflict management and resolution, making correct choices, recognizing consequences, and other related social skills; Prepares and maintains documents, reports, records, files, and related documentation of student activities, violations, progress, and behaviors; Initiates and maintains contact with parents on student activities, incidents, behaviors, and violations and subsequent school actions; May assist students with classroom and homework assignments, tutoring, or other supplemental instruction; High school diploma or GED equivalency; and Classroom or other instructional experience or continued college level education is preferred; or Experience in dealing effectively with adolescents of varied backgrounds and cultures; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Detention Monitor provides disciplinary supervision and monitors all work and activities in the classroom including assisting with schoolwork, collecting student assignments, documenting activities and work progress and preparing related reports.
