POSITION DESCRIPTION

Under general direction, provide professional evidence-based substance use treatment services to justice-involved individuals who are participating in the Overton County Recovery Court (OCRC) program.

SUPERVISION

The OCRC Substance Use Treatment Provider works in collaboration with the OCRC Program staff and Recovery Court team. General supervision is provided by the OCRC Program Director. All work is monitored for professionalism, timeliness, and adherence to National Recovery Court Best Practice Standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

1. Provide substance use treatment services to Overton County Recovery Court participants utilizing evidence-based practices, tools and curriculum. Services to be provided are clinical assessments, intensive outpatient therapy, and other therapeutic services as needed. IOP sessions are held in the evening hours from 5:00-8:00 pm three days per week. 2. Coordinate treatment plans for OCRC participants. 3. Monitor, document and report participant treatment progress. 4. Attend OCRC staffing sessions and court sessions bi-monthly to report on client progress/needs. Court staffings and Court sessions generally occur from 3:00-5:00 pm on designated court dates. 5. Assist with conducting urinalysis testing and handle chain of custody documents as appropriate. 6. Work with a multi-disciplinary team to update and monitor participant treatment progress. 7. Engage in ongoing training and professional development as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor with a Bachelor's Degree OR
• Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Therapy, counseling or other behavioral science plus one year experience in SUD or Co-Occurring related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to engage in positive collaborations with partners.
• Demonstrated skills and knowledge in facilitating a trauma-informed environment.
• Ability to recognize and maintain appropriate boundaries.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality

PREFERRED

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, and

ABILITIES

• Experience working in a Recovery Court or with court involved individuals.
• Knowledge of court policies and procedures.
• Positive and compassionate attitude with clients.
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

CONTRACT POSITION

: This position is an Independent Contractor position with Overton County Government and funded by a SAMHSA grant award subject to funds availability.
