Job Description

The City of Yuba City is currently recruiting for Property and Evidence Technician! This recruitment will close on June 18, 2026, at 12PM (PST) or upon receiving 60 minimally qualified applications. Under general supervision, receives, secures, safeguards, and preserves all incoming property and evidence to the Police Department; ensures the safety and careful handling of evidence; maintains and updates records detailing the location or disposition of all property and evidence received; releases and disposes of evidence and property in compliance with applicable laws, codes, and regulations; and performs related duties as assigned. Education:
Equivalent to completion of the twelfth (12 th ) grade.
Experience:
One (1) year of responsible records management experience preferably in a law enforcement environment.
Licenses and Certifications:
Possession of a valid California Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record to be maintained throughout employment.
