Until Filled Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in one or more of the following fields: Criminal Justice, Criminology, Crime Analysis, Intelligence Studies, Data Analytics, Statistics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or other closely related field Professional experience working with law enforcement, public safety, criminal justice, intelligence analysis, crime analysis, local government, or municipal government. Experience working with data analysis, statistical reporting, crime mapping, intelligence analysis, or performance measurement preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered Valid South Carolina driver's license The Crime Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and disseminating crime, intelligence, and operational data to support evidence-based policing strategies, crime reduction initiatives, resource deployment decisions, and organizational performance measurement.
