Qualifications:
College hours, high school diploma or GED Fluent in both written and oral English and Spanish Secretarial/clerical experience Proficient typing, word processing, and file maintenance skills Effective organizational, communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.) Experience working with highly confidential information Experience in Human Resources preferred
Primary Purpose:
Access and process criminal history data in the Fingerprint-based Applicant Clearinghouse of Texas (FACT) for purposes of employment, district contractors and other required persons. Perform duties associated with fingerprinting employees and district contractors as an IdentoGo Enrollment Agent for the District. Perform duties associated with employee and contractor badging.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare correspondence, reports, etc. Greet and assist visitors and District personnel. Upload required information to
SBEC/TEA
for applicants being considered for employment. Access and subscribe to records in the FACT Clearinghouse. Complete criminal history background checks for student teachers, District volunteers, (PIE programs, mentor programs), etc. Keep accurate records of access, review and use of criminal history data. Maintain training and certification requirements for access and use of secured databases. Fingerprint employees and district contractors. Process contractor badge requests. Provide communication assistance for limited English-speaking patrons/staff as related to criminal history. Maintain strict confidentiality and anonymity of patrons as related to fingerprinting and background information. Other duties as assigned.
Equipment Used:
Personal computer, printer, copier, fax machine, fingerprint scanner, and various internal/external databases.
Working Conditions:
Work with frequent interruptions, maintain emotional control under stress. Repetitive hand motions.
